2009 GROUP TOUR GUIDE
Scenic train rides
aboard the Fayette Central Railroad will give your patrons a unique
experience,
enjoying the spectacular beauty of the Laurel Highlands from a view not
seen from the highways.
Saturday rides culminate with a view of the Youghiogheny River valley
from the bridge.
Sunday riders will enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains and the
opportunity to visit a large hobby shop.
The total trip time is approximately 2.5 hours, which includes a half
hour layover.
The bus driver receives a complimentary ticket.
Groups of 40 or more also receive a complimentary ticket for the
organizer.
Bus parking is available.
Trips leave from Uniontown, PA on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM and
2:00 PM.

Uniontown to Dunbar
First train leaves 11:00 A.M. and returns at 1:30 P.M.
The second leaves 2:00 P.M. and returns at 4:30P.M.
Both trains have a 30 minute layover in Dunbar.

Shady Grove
Originally a trolley park, and now a popular swimming pool
and
campground open to the public.
Each train stops at Shady Grove*.
The “Swimmer’s Special” is a shorter run, only $10.00 for adults and
$8.00 for children under 12.
Bring your bathing suit.

The
Dunbar train arrives at Shady Grove at 1:00, Train back to Dunbar at
2:30.
The 1st
Uniontown train arrives at Shady Grove at 11:30.
Train for the return
trip at 1:00 or 4:00.
The 2nd
Uniontown train arrives at Shady Grove at 2:30.
The train for the return
trip leaves at 4:00, returning to Uniontown at 4:30.
Please Note: Schedules are adhered to as much as possible;
however,
our railroad reserves the right to alter schedules
or make equipment
changes as operating conditions require.
Group Rates
25 or more $2.00 discount per
ticket.
($13 adults and $8 children under 12)
Bus driver receives free ticket.
40 or more also receives on free ticket for the organizer.
To receive group rate must be paid by one individual for entire group,
either cash or check.
Reservations necessary for group
rate.
Must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time.
Groups for Halloween Trains (both
Pumpkin and Haunted Trains)
must board in Uniontown.
Charter Rate
$600 for one-half the line
(that is between Uniontown and Dunbar or
Uniontown and Fairchance.)
May start at Uniontown, Dunbar or Fairchance.
$900 for entire line (Dunbar to Fairchance).
May start the trip from any of the three towns.
Prices are for up to 50 people. After that, $10 per person.
Train (RDC) will accommodate 88 people.
With one caboose, 15 more (103 total).
With two cabooses, 25 more (113 total).
Usually requires at least three weeks advance notice.
Payment due at time charter is reserved.
